Driven by lifelong passions for math, environmental advocacy, and her Hispanic heritage, Margaret pursued four majors to fully explore the intersections of data, science, and community. She is the president of the Latin American Student Organization and Math Club, tutoring students across campus. Her research has ranged from studying Antarctic water systems to analyzing air quality and heat-related 911 calls in Chicago neighborhoods.

She plans to pursue a PhD in environmental science or a related field, combining data analysis and environmental research to advance solutions that serve communities.
